Joyeux Anniversaire L'Occitane!
Thursday, November 13, 2014
I love most things related to the French. And L'Occitane is no different as they are the crème de la crème for beauty products direct from France – and are now 10 years old in Malaysia!
Over the weekend, guests were treated to a wonderfully thematic birthday bash in the Oval concourse of 1 Utama. The space is transformed to look like a French garden, decked out in their signature yellow. I was greeted with a fresh sprig of lavender flowers (the Blue Gold of Provence) upon arrival, and a lovely bag of L'Occitane's latest concoctions. The event was roaring with energy and excitement, as ladies dashed around to have a look at their limited edition 10th Anniversary gift exclusives. I couldn't resist either, had to buy one!
I bought this box gift set! Love the box, it looks like a French travel case!
I noticed a few familiar faces around, made some small talk and then settled down in time for the entertainment to begin. Before that, flurries of sweet canapes flitted out and between guests – satisfying every sweet tooth with a selection of macarons, pavlovas, fudge cakes and delicate quiches. We were all terribly spoilt for choice!
The emcee for the day, Josiah Mizukami (you might remember him from Hot Guys Who Cook on Diva) introduced singer Marsha Millan Londoh, to perform. She belted out famous hits like Nat King Cole's L-O-V-E, Frankie Valli's I Love You Baby and the recently-famous-everywhere song, Frozen's Let It Go – in a mish mash of English-Malay. Her strong and sultry notes really hit the spot, and every other shopper outside of our inner-circle stopped to listen. This was followed by a short speech by Tan Seong Teck, Director of L'Occitane Malaysia.
This was shortly followed by a lucky draw session, before the event ended. We got to go home with our fragrant sprigs of lavender, and some lovely gifts from the new limited range by L'Occitane. Thank you for the lovely souvenirs! :)
Made a new friend at the event! :)
We also got lucky draw lots to win a round-trip to Provence, France! Fingers crossed! :)
Happy Birthday L'Occitane!
