Coats. Jackets. Smiles. Monki.

It's been nearly half a year since Swedish fashion brand, Monki, held their launch party in Nu Sentral, for their first store in Malaysia. Time flies, because they are now opening their second store in IOI City Mall Putrajaya – the official date of their doors to open to all is 10 November 2014. Be sure to be there and catch their Spring Summer 14' collection.

Before we even talk about Spring Summer, let's check out their über awesome Autumn Winter 14' collection. I am in love with the amazing textures and colors within their extensive collection of outerwear. The stylish selection was given special attention by the design department this year and boasts an impressive number of different styles and silhouettes to choose from.

You can expect  myriad of textures like wooly ones to sleek biker coats to the more elegant, long-lined, smooth, belted styles. The color palette is another notable feature with everything from timeless blacks and greys, to warm burgundy, classy camel and bright tomato red – and some extra catch colors and prints. Of course, fake-fur will make a notable appearance later in the season on puffy parkas and last year’s favourite: the statement furry coat.

Check our some of my favorites from the lot!

I could really use some of these (all of these actually) for my upcoming trip to London in 2015. I just missed it for my recent trip to Osaka – speaking of which, I'm working on editing photos and a story (plus useful tips) for all of you, promise it'll be up soon! Anyone can see that Monki's coats and jackets are designed to make you look fashionably cute and still function to keep you warm and toasty. They are the best type of winter warmers you could ask for.

“Malaysia is such a great Monki country and we are so happy to be able to bring even more Monki fashion to Kuala Lumpur.” – Lea Rytz Goldman, COO at Monki
