The annual Putrajaya Floral Fest is back. Started in 2007 to mark Malaysia's 50th Independence Day, the colorful festival received such amazing response that it was organized annually, drawing in more and more visitors year after year.

This year, the theme is set to "Roses Are Forever" - it is said to be the biggest collection of roses for display ever held in Malaysia where an estimated collection of over 60 species of roses at a whopping total of 12,000 rose plants being brought in. Aside from the roses, an additional 400,000 species of flowers will be used to decorate the park as well. These flowers will be split into a total of 15 individual parks, arranged and cultivated by green-fingered individuals from all over the world, namely New Zealand, United Kingdom, The US, Hong Kong, Canada, Korea, Taiwan, Japan, Pakistan, Kenya, Indonesia, Macao, Thailand, China and Singapore.

Aside from viewing the beautiful florals on display, why not partake in the photography competition as well?
It's open to all, whether you're a pro or just an amateur point-and-shoot photographer, there's a chance for everyone to win cash prizes.

1st Prize - RM500
2nd Prize - RM300
3rd Prize - RM200

It's really simple, no forms or unnecessary purchases required. Just shoot a photo in accordance with this year's theme, "Roses Are Forever" at the size of 800 x 600px and email your entries to floriaputrajaya@gmail.com along with your name & phone number. Easy peasy! Winners will be contacted.

The dateline for entries are by 14th July 2011.
The prize giving ceremony will be held on 16th July 2011, 230pm – 3.30pm at Presint 2 Putrajaya.
